In the quiet heart of a misty, desolate forest, where the trees twist like ancient guardians, there stands a massive oak whose roots coil into the earth like the fingers of the dead. Embedded into its trunk is a great wooden wheel, bound with iron and scarred with age, its surface marked with strange symbols: a golden chalice gleaming faintly with promise, a crimson heart pulsing with life’s fragile essence, a dagger pointing downward with cold precision, and a coin purse heavy with the weight of worldly greed. At the wheel’s center lies a menacing skull etched into the iron hub, a grim reminder that all choices, no matter their promise, may lead to death.

A figure cloaked in deep crimson approaches, her hood pulled forward to conceal her identity. Her slender hand, pale against the rough grain of the wheel, trembles as she prepares to set it into motion. She is not here by chance. The Wheel of Fate calls only to those who stand at the crossroads of destiny. It is said that the wheel was crafted in an age long forgotten by mortals, when gods walked among men and wove the threads of chance into tangible form. Each symbol represents a path: the chalice, a life of abundance and intoxication; the heart, love’s blessing or heartbreak’s curse; the dagger, betrayal or survival through violence; the coin purse, wealth that may corrupt or sustain.

But none can ignore the skull at the center. It waits silently, a reminder that fate is fickle and cruel, that sometimes the wheel offers only an end, cold and unyielding. The crimson-clad figure knows this, and yet she presses forward, compelled by forces beyond her control. Her story, though not yet written, will be inscribed in the spin of the wheel.
